March 15, 2010 -- The Boston Celtics got back on track Monday as they dominated the visiting Detroit Pistons 119-93, one night after a loss to Eastern Conference-leading Cleveland Cavaliers.
The C's cruised to a 64-35 halftime lead and were able to rest most of their starters for the fourth quarter.
Paul Pierce, Ray Allen and Michael Finley scored 15 points apiece, and Kevin Garnett had 14 points and eight rebounds.
Will Bynum had 16 points and seven assists, and Jason Maxiell had 11 points and 10 rebounds for the Pistons, who lost their second straight game and their ninth out of 11.
Detroit lost starting forward Tayshaun Prince with 4:53 left in the first quarter when he was kneed in the back by Maxiell. Prince fell backward into Maxiell's knee, then remained on the floor for several minutes, holding his back, before limping off with assistance.
The Celtics lead reached as high as 33 early in the third quarter.
