May 2, 2010 -- Just two weeks after being arrested for driving under the influence, former New England Patriots running back Corey Dillon was arrested once again and charged with felony spousal abuse Saturday night.
According to multiple reports, Dillon's estranged wife Desiree, who filed for divorce last month, called 911 saying she had been assaulted. A police report shows she suffered minor injuries. Police say the alleged assault occurred at their home during an argument over a pending divorce and child custody issues. Dillon, 35, is free on $50,000 bond.
Dillon, who played for New England from 2004 to 2006, earning a Super Bowl ring in his first season with the Patriots, had been arrested in California on April 21 for driving under the influence of alcohol.
