March 12, 2010 -- Chalk up another item on Wes Welker's offseason schedule: Rehab from torn rotator cuff. It was reported earlier today that the New England Patriots' slot receiver will undergo a series of rehabilitation on a torn rotator cuff, according to a source close to the situation.
The source said the knee, not the rotator cuff, remains Welker's primary obstacle in returning for the 2010 season, but Welker believes that he will play. It appears that Welker played a bulk of the games with the injury, how many, is unknown.
The 28-year-old star led the NFL with 123 receptions last season despite missing two games early in the season as well as leaving the finale on the Patriots' fourth offensive play after injuring his knee.
